Multicultural Engineering Program
Recruitment Programs
Scholars Day:
This one day
program brings high school multicultural
seniors to the Oklahoma State University
campus with their parents and teachers,
introducing them to the university’s
outstanding facilities, faculty, and
students.
Multicultural Day:
Each fall, a
day is calendared specifically for
multicultural high school seniors to
visit the beautiful OSU campus to
receive information regarding
admissions, housing, and the
multicultural community at large.
Student to Student:
Undergraduate
multicultural students contact
prospective high school students and
parents to provide information about
numerous details involved in the
collegiate transition.
Project Success:
In a full day
of recruitment, over 400 junior and
senior African American high school
students discover the essential
ingredients for collegiate success. This
program is organized, developed, and led
by Oklahoma State University
undergraduates.
AISES High School Weekend:
A weekend
created for Native American high school
seniors interested in majoring in
sciences and engineering.
Scholars Luncheon:
In an effort
to recruit quality incoming freshmen,
our CEAT support staff travels to high
school campuses across the state to
facilitate luncheons with AP level
Calculus and science classes.
Transition 101:
This one week
summer program acquaints high school
senior with engineering and OSU campus
life prior to their freshman year.
Hands-on computer training and tours of
engineering laboratories and design
projects highlight this educational
experience.
